Behold! The Morning Sun Lyrics Isaac Watts, 1719

4 verses, meter S.M., public domain, free to print and project.

The words

Verse 1. Behold! the morning sun
Begins his glorious way;
His beams thro’ all the nations run,
And life and light convey.

Verse 2. But, where the gospel comes,
It spreads diviner light;
It calls dead sinners from the tombs
And gives the blind their sight.

Verse 3. How perfect is thy word!
And all thy judgments just;
Forever sure thy promise, Lord!
And men securely trust.

Verse 4. My gracious God! how plain
Are thy directions given!
Oh! may I never read in vain,
But find the path to heaven.

Words copied from The Otterbein Hymnal (1892). They were published in 1719, so they are in the public domain in the United States, and your church may print them, show them and sing them without a license.
