Planning the service
Agree on the Scripture readings and sermon before adding songs or other elements. Give readers time to practice any longer passages. Confirm how the service ends, including whether people leave in silence, and tell the ushers and musicians. Check room access and staffing if the service happens outside the usual Sunday schedule.
