to the Director of Preschool Ministries concerning paid childcare employees Screen all new paid childcare employees thoroughly prior to employment Coordinate childcare needs for all ministries, special events, and Wednesday evening activities Provide a written list of responsibilities for paid childcare employees, update this list as necessary Ensure that all classes are adequately staffed for all childcare events Work with the Director of Preschool Ministries in updating the Paid Childcare Policies Manage all Building Requests needed for childcare Staff and Plan activities for Parents Night Out Events Requirements Expectations Growing Disciple of Jesus Christ Faithful and regular tither Active member in church Support Valleydale’s theology, staff, leadership, vision and values Adhere to Valleydale’s Staff Values and Valleydale Code of Conduct Preferred Skills Passion for preschool ministry Commitment to family based ministry Ability to develop relationships with children and parent(s) Strong communication (written and verbal), relational, organizational, and computer skills Preferred Experience Experience in preschool ministry, either as a volunteer or on staff, with a portion of that in a church setting Preferred Education Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related field

Description

Job Description/Purpose

Support the needs of the Preschool ministry through coordination of personnel for weekly church events and special events.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Enlist paid childcare employees for events approved on the church calendar
  • Oversee scheduling of all paid childcare employees (This includes room assignments for each event.)
  • Make recommendations concerning personnel problems, personnel needs, etc. to the Director of Preschool Ministries concerning paid childcare employees
  • Screen all new paid childcare employees thoroughly prior to employment
  • Coordinate childcare needs for all ministries, special events, and Wednesday evening activities
  • Provide a written list of responsibilities for paid childcare employees, update this list as necessary
  • Ensure that all classes are adequately staffed for all childcare events
  • Work with the Director of Preschool Ministries in updating the Paid Childcare Policies
  • Manage all Building Requests needed for childcare
  • Staff and Plan activities for Parents Night Out Events
