Children’s Ministry Director - On-site

First Baptist Church, Allentown, PA Manage, plan and provide Biblical and Christlike oversight to the Children’s Ministry weekly events, as well as FBCA special events involving children. This is a part time position. Roles and Responsibilities Church Operations

• Participate in staff and prayer meetings on a weekly basis/as needed
• Work with Pastoral and other church staff for vision casting, Pastoral needs, and calendar planning

Children’s Ministry

• Provide leadership to the Children’s Ministry volunteer team for planning typical weekly ministries, as well as special events involving children.
• Maintain communication with the congregation and families.
• Ensure children’s wing is set up for all weekly ministries
• Oversee volunteers to ensure ministries are properly staffed
• Participate in teaching regularly, or as needed
• Reports to the Assistant/Associate Pastor.
• Equip, encourage, and empower this team; meet regularly, ensure all materials for assigned lessons and activities are distributed.
• Seek opportunity to involve this ministry with others in the Church
• Submit an annual Children’s Ministries budget
• Exhibit a heart for children

• Maintain the lifestyle in line with the Constitution and By-Laws of FBCA.
• Exhibit a spiritually balanced life (prayer, Bible study, rest, worship, financial stewardship)
• Doctrinally aligned with the FBCA Statement of Faith
• Keep up to date with best practices for encouraging child development and spiritual growth

Education/Experience/Skills

• Effective teacher who can bring practical life application to the scriptures.
• Effective communicator of the Gospel to the seeker, discipling a new believer.
• Formal training preferably from a Christian Institution.
